Although it’s not the most important element of a great display, a craft show banner enhances professionalism and gives a polished appearance to your display. This post will cover a wide range of sign and craft fair banner ideas for you to consider.

I recommend getting the rest of your booth elements arranged first, but once everything comes together, consider investing in a banner or sign as the cherry on top.

Signs, like anything, can be as simple or fancy and elaborate as you want to make them.  If you have wood burning skills, perhaps you could design a wooden plaque? Love to sew? A handsewn background with some vinyl or painted lettering might look unique.

A good, professional sign is hard to DIY for most of us though.  Fortunately, you can find an impressive custom sign marketplace on Etsy.  Sellers on zazzle and Amazon will also make custom signs.  For my store banner (an enormous sign) I was very pleased with the vinyl outdoor piece we custom ordered from Vistaprint.

Etsy is a great way to support other handmade crafters and get something professional looking and wholly unique.  Zazzle and even Vistaprint allow you to create your own designs and put them on a variety of products.

*Tip* If you don’t have a logo and want one, check out various graphic designers on Fiverr or other gig sites and get something created in vector format, so the image can be easily transferred to any medium or project without losing quality.

Beautiful Custom Signs on Etsy

I love the look of this sign, particularly for rustic products or more masculine displays.  They have a variety of styles and sizes.  This one has great texture, contrast and movement.  Really beautiful and starts at 39.99 a very reasonable rate.  BenchMarkSignsGifts

I love this look too, and having a banner on front of your table is a convenient way to ensure your sign fits in any booth space.  Exclusive Elements shop on Etsy will design one using your branding for $45, which is very reasonable.

Small Vinyl Banner

This is a smaller 1.5′ x 2′ custom vinyl banner that is also great for small spaces.  It has the grommets so you can easily tie it.  They offer custom signs this size for $25 and free US shipping.  Visit The Happy Sticker Shop on Etsy to learn more.

The banner above is a cute idea because it is small enough to use anywhere and it has a unique, non-standard shape that can help draw the eye.  You can choose the color, font and text you want applied.  Etsy seller Sleepy Panda Pieces offers these at a bargain price of $15.99 with free shipping.

Folding Frame Sign for Craft Fairs
Folding Frame Sign

I absolutely love these folding wood frame signs.  This one has a chalkboard, so if you love to draw, do chalk couture or you can write well, it would have a variety of uses.  Put a flyer/poster on one side and write a list of prices on the other.  So many possibilities and the look is stunning.

Sadly, it also takes up a lot of “real estate” if you set up in smaller spaces so that’s something to consider before purchasing a larger sign like this.  Versatility and the ability to change it makes it worth consideration though.  This one, by Story Book Barn is made from reclaimed wood and has some customization options including antique white and dark walnut.

*Tip* Not ready to invest in signage just yet but want the same benefits? Sometimes the best “banner” or sign can be a custom T-shirt with your logo :). You can design and have them printed on sites like Zazzle or CafePress.  Sign up for an account for free and then create your design.  A basic tee on Zazzle is around $18 – not a bad investment.

Hopefully this post has given you some inspiration and has you thinking about your own sign ideas. Whether you design and create your own or have one made, a great sign is always a good investment in your brand.
